This is an ambitious stage directions proposed by Abdel Sufi in this new show combining gospel, dance, theater and video, to pay tribute to Martin Luther King, Nobel Peace in 1964, emblematic figure of the non-violent struggle against racial segregation and fervent peace activist. This man of Word gave one of the greatest political speeches of the twentieth century, “I Have a Dream” in 28 August 1963 during the famous "The Great March on Washington".
The show, which takes place both on stage and in the audience, thanks to a dual system of screens and paintings (stage and hall), renders Martin Luther King both actor and spectator of his own history. A parallel is drawn- in pictures - between the U.S. situation of 40-60 years and current situations; familiar songs sung as gospel opera mingle with texts and make the transition between the different stages of life and the words of Dr King.
