<br />Under the topic of “Cultural Diversity: Impetus for a Dynamic and Sustainable Economy”, the consultation aims to enhance understanding of the 2005 Convention and its international cooperation mechanisms, and assess Fiji’s policy and programmes for the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions. By doing so, the consultation intends to identify a way forward for Fiji’s ratification of the 2005 Convention.<br /><br />The consultation will bring together stakeholders, including Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Women, National Centre for Small and Micro Enterprises Development, Fiji Intellectual Property Office, Fiji Arts Council, iTaukei Trust Fund, Film Fiji, Western Craft Association, Pacific Island Public Sector Organisation, Fiji Intellectual Property Rights Association, Conservatorium of Music, Fiji Rotuman Association, Fiji Fashion Week ltd., Curriculum Advisory Service for Technical and Vocational Education, Vou Dance Group.<br /><br />UNESCO accredited expert and representative of the International Federation of Coalitions for Cultural Diversity (IFCCD) in Montreal will also provide their perspectives at the consultation as resource persons.<br />
