Meeting of the MOST Scientific Advisory Committee
The Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) of UNESCO’s Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme will meet at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, on 5 July 2017.
The main objectives of the meeting will be to review the thematic priorities of the MOST Programme in the context of its Action Plan, and to provide advice to the MOST Intergovernmental Council (IGC) on a set of envisioned activities for the MOST Programme in 2018 and 2019.
Main items on the agenda will include:
- Assessment of recommendation, made by the 13th session of the MOST Intergovernmental Council (IGC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 16-17 March 2017.
- Review of selected MOST activities in 2017 and plans for 2018 (MOST Ministerial Forums, MOST Schools, Policy Labs, and Future Literacy Schools).
- Recommendations from SAC in relation to the contribution of MOST to the World Humanities Conference (WHC), to be held in Liège, Belgium, from 6 to 12 August 2017.
The Committee functions as a permanent committee. Its specific role is related to programme conceptualization, strategy development and scientific advisory research regarding MOST projects.
