Meeting of the Bureau of the 5th session of the Conference of Parties of UNESCO's Convention against Doping in Sport

The first Bureau meeting of the fifth session of the Conference of Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport will be held in Bucharest, Romania, on 10 March 2016.

On 29 and 30 October 2015, the fifth session of the Conference of Parties (COP) to the International Convention against Doping in Sport took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris under the Convention’s motto “win for real”.

Gathering more than 350 participants from over 115 countries, the COP5 had the highest participation of public authorities, in particular of Sport Ministers, since its first session held in 2005.

During the session and as required by Rule 4 of its Rules of Procedure, the Conference of Parties elected a Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons and a Rapporteur.

Mr Saleh Konbaz Mohammed (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and Mr Graham Arthur (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) were re-elected as Chairperson and Rapporteur.

The newly elected Bureau also comprises Romania, Colombia, the Republic of Korea and Kenya as Vice-Chairpersons.
