Panel discussion based on the two publications of MGIEP, “The State of Education for Peace, Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship in Asia” and “Textbooks for Sustainable Development: A Guide to Embedding”, as well as UNESCO HQ’s “Education for Sustainable Development Goals: Learning Objectives”.
The side event highlights the challenges and promises of mainstreaming SDG 4.7 in national education systems, with a particular focus on integration into core subjects such as Sciences, Mathematics and Languages.
Panelists include authors of these publications and national government representatives committed to the embedding approach, including from Germany, Japan and South Africa (tbc).
