The meeting is organized by l’OREALC / UNESCO, Santiago, jointly with the UNESCO Chair of Inclusion in Higher University Education of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). It aims to strengthen dialogue and technical collaboration between academic institutions, within the framework of the Diploma in Leadership and Student Rights taught by the Universidad de Santiago de Chile, Universidad de Viña del Mar, Universidad Arturo Prat de Iquique and the Universidad Católica de Temuco, in alliance with UNESCO.

The UNESCO Regional Office of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean, OREALC/UNESCO Santiago, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and in particular SDG4 - Education Agenda 2030 (Agenda E2030) and its Framework for Action , approved by the Member States of UNESCO in November 2015, seeks to contribute to “guarantee quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. Higher education plays a key role in ensuring that academic and research programs contemplate sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, world citizenship and cultural diversity. The efforts of all parties involved are required to rethink quality higher education for all.
