Launch of the Global Sandwatch Database

Sandwatch is a volunteer-based network supported by UNESCO and coordinated by the non-profit Sandwatch Foundation and drawing on the resources and contributions of a wide network of partners and collaborators including the Government of Denmark, the University of Puerto Rico, and many more – most significantly hundreds of dedicated school principals, teachers and students at institutions around the world. <br /><br />By facilitating exchange, interaction and comparative analyses between Sandwatch practitioners in different parts of the world, it is expected that the Sandwatch database will contribute to the global climate change monitoring.<br /><br />The launch will be organized in the framework of the Experts Meeting on Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Africa (20-22 March 2013), in particular at the session entitled "Targeting the needs of the vulnerable".
