Kenya: Training on management of daily contacts, mobile friendly content production and use of related broadcasting software
UNESCO is supporting Sauti FM Radio to carry out a training of community radio practitioners on management of daily contacts, mobile friendly content production and use of related broadcasting software. The training which will take place in Asembo Bay, Siaya County, Kenya, will bring together 17 participants (8 men and 9 women) from Siaya County.
The workshop aims at imparting participants with knowledge and skills on technical online platforms that support information delivery as well as communication with and from the radio station by linking FM-broadcasting, mobile telephony, Internet, the web, and social media. Thanks to this training the participants will be able to use Internet applications for programming and editorial work and thus increase audience interaction with the radio and enhance the audience base for the radio.
The training will include discussions, practical exercises and individual and group assignments. This event is part of UNESCOs continued capacity building initiatives under SIDA funded project “Empowering community Radios with ICTs” in Kenya.
