Kenya: ICT Competency Framework for Teachers Pilot Quality Assurance Workshop
UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa is holding an ICT Competency Framework for Teachers Pilot Quality Assurance Workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop aims at providing participants with an opportunity to agree to a set of online delivery criteria to be applied to all developed units; to have their courseware finalized and evaluated against the criteria; and to review implementation plan and discuss logistical details of the roll-out for the course.
Participants attending the workshop will be drawn from Teachers Service Commission, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMESTEA), Inoorero University and Strathmore University.
The training workshop is part of ongoing trainings aimed at developing Open Education Resources (OER) for use in a teacher training course aligned with Kenyan ICT in Education policy framework and the UNESCO Competency Framework for Teachers.
