UNESCO will support the Centre for Media and Information Literacy in Kenya (CMIL-Kenya) to carry out capacity building training of youth organizations on media and information literacy in Nairobi, Kenya.
This workshop aims to empower the 30 youth organizations through capacity building on media and information literacy to enhance and deepen their competencies; and to develop the national media and information literacy policy and strategies for Kenya, through the adoption of UNESCO media and information literacy curriculum for teachers.

This activity is organized within UNESCOs framework of facilitating pluralistic media institutions to adopt gender-sensitive policies and provide support for strengthened community media policy and practice, while empowering the youth through enhanced media and information literacy (MIL) competencies in Kenya.
