International High-Level Task Force Meeting in view of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue/World Summit of International Organizations
Six months ahead of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, an International High Level Task Force preparatory meeting will take place at UNESCO Headquarters on 5 December 2016.
This High-Level Task Force meeting is supported by the Government of Azerbaijan with the participation of Mr. Abulfas Garayev, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and is organized in close partnership with UNESCO.
This event will convey all key partners involved in the “Baku Process”, an initiative of the Government of Azerbaijan launched in 2008, and will bring together members of the Task Force for the World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue. These include, notably, UNESCO, UNAOC, ISESCO, UNWTO, FAO, the North-South Center of the Council of Europe, the Coventry University and the Global Compass.
Two sessions will take place on this occasion:
i) the World Forum Task Force Expert Meeting to review the proposals made by different partners for the agenda of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, and
ii) the World Forum and World Summit High Level Meeting, which constitutes an innovation of the upcoming 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue remains a relevant platform that supports the objectives of the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022).
