The IFAP Working Group on Information for Development, chaired by Malaysia will convene a one-day meeting to explore the relevance of this theme within the context of the UN Agenda 2030. It will also mobilize experts on information for development to leverage foresight for inclusive knowledge societies and partnerships.
IFAP National Committees for UNESCO in the Asia-Pacific region will collaborate in the elaboration and implementation of a roadmap to promote information for development as a priority area for the achievement of inclusive knowledge societies.
The work of the IFAP Working Group on Information for Development during this plenary session will be highlighted in order to put foresight at the service of inclusive knowledge societies and partnerships in the context of the Asia-Pacific region and in accordance with the United Nations Agenda 2030.
Thus, the objective of the meeting is to enhance cooperation and optimize IFAP governance structures related to information for Development.
