High-level Policy Forum on Multilingual Education
The 2019 high-level policy forum will be devoted to inviting discussion between policy makers on the latest research evidence on innovative and promising approaches to expanding and improving learning for ethno-linguistic minority children and the policy implications.
It will also provide a platform for countries to:
- Share views and experiences on key current and emerging policy challenges for implementing mother tongue-based multilingual education;
- Discuss how to integrate MTB MLE in national SDG 4 plans and monitor SDG indicator 4.5.2; and
- Develop and agree on a set of regional recommendations for advancing multilingual approaches to learning and SDG4.
