Handicap, Knowledge and ICT
The event will present the E-learning for an inclusive society project supported by UNESCO. The e-learning project is open to teachers, family members, practitioners working with people with Learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and/or mental health problems. The training provides several modules and facilitates the acquisition of knowledge regarding the origin and possible consequences of disabilities and/or disorders and helps people to learn about the factors which may support, or impede, social inclusion.
The training will be available via e-learning, on free access from September 2015. The e-learning system allows the learner to go through the training at their own pace from any location.
The training is based on the on the main principles of the United Nations Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (2006). It facilitates the acquisition of knowledge regarding the origin and possible consequences of disabilities and/or disorders, it helps people to learn about the factors which may support, or conversely impede, social inclusion.
