Fourth Session of the Global Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction

The Fourth Session of the Global Platform for Disaster risk Reduction is a platform allowing to discuss and share effort from all actors (governments, NGOs and civil society, international agencies and organizations, academic and technical institutions, and the private sector) and to take shared responsibility in reducing risks and reinforcing resilience in our communities. The Fourth Session will also be an opportunity to consult on the Hyogo Framework for Action 2 (HFA2). The main objective of the Global Platform is to support the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action, to which UNESCO is committed. <br /><br />UNESCO is involved in organizing and co-organizing several events at the occasion of this global forum, thus strengthening the Organization's role in disaster risk reduction among other agencies.
