Consultation meeting on the “Code of Conduct” for Teachers
The consultation meeting on the “Code of Conduct” for Teachers, will take place from 24th to 26th November 2015, within the context of the UBRAF project 2014-2015 “Improving community Sexual Reproductive Health Education through a culturally- appropriate, gender- responsive and rights-based approach”.
In view of the above, UNESCO is currently supporting ONP (Sindicato Nacional dos Professores de Moçambique – National Teachers Union) to organize this consultation meeting.
The National Teachers Union (ONP) is the Organization responsible to make sure the "Code of conduct for Teachers" is seriously considered and that the teaching profession is effective in the classrooms.
This meeting will enable to know the degree in which the "Code of conduct for Teachers" is applied and will emphasize the importance that teacher involvement in instructional decision-making must be significantly increased and the knowledge that teachers must be physically present wherever and whenever decisions are being made; other than making teachers simply implement others’ policies and visions.
