We will commemorate the International Mother Language Day, with a dialogue on the advances and challenges of the processes of linguistic and cultural revitalization. We will reflect on the public policy measures necessary to strengthen and rescue endangered languages to strengthen networks of work in interculturality.
We will celebrate with a Likan Antai performance ritual carried out by the La Huella Teatro Company, an independent company from the city of Antofagasta (northern Chile), made up of stage artists who focus their work on anthropological research and the search for new languages. With more than 15 years of experience on the national scene, they propose spaces for the encounter of dramatic art in solidarity and committed to the recognition of the cultural contributions of each indigenous people/nation.
The company has deployed its journey provoking a discourse from different territories, such as Rapa Nui and the Chilean altiplano, and also at an international level, with residencies, stage laboratories and strategic international alliances.
