Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Completion of the International Campaign of Nubia

The event intends to celebrate the completion of the renowned Nubian Campaign on 30 March 1980 in which the international community partnered with Egypt and UNESCO in saving the invaluable heritage sites in Nubia.
Successfully completed 40 years ago, this Campaign continues to be a beacon of international solidarity in protecting heritage. It is an outstanding example of successful international cooperation that UNESCO, the Government of Egypt and humanity at large will always be proud of.

The event at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization will consist of lectures, photo exhibitions and video presentations on the Campaign. It will provide the opportunity for a renewed commitment of the international community to the importance of heritage preservation for sustainable development.
