CapED ministerial breakfast meeting - The CapED Programme: operationalizing SDG4 at the country level
Thursday 2 November 2017 from 8am to 9:30 am, UNESCO HQ Restaurant
The ministerial bBreakfast meeting will take place in the margins of the 39th session of UNESCO’s General Conference. It will provide an informal platform and forum for dialogue on the operationalization of SDG4 among Ministers from Member States who benefit from UNESCO’s CapED Programme and its donor group. It will be an opportunity to share good practices, common challenges and lessons learnt and reflect on the way forward. Please find attached, for your information, the concept note for this event.
Two years after the adoption of the Education 2030 Framework for Action (FFA), this high-level event seeks to review the different countries’ experiences in operationalizing SDG4 commitments with CapED support. The Ministerial Breakfast Meeting will therefore focus on knowledge exchange among countries currently benefiting from the Programme and its donor group. Participants will discuss how the Programme is contributing to transforming the global SDG4 commitments into concrete action at the country level. The meeting will serve as a platform to share good practices, discuss common challenges and lessons learnt, reflect on the way forward, and mobilize new partners of the collective effort to attain the SD4 targets.
Seating capacity limited, the event is by invitation only.
