Capacity reinforcement for the implementation of the 2003 Convention in Costa Rica and Panama
The objective is to train civil servants, ONG respresentatives, experts and cultural bearers on effective application of the Convention for the safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. This training is based on materials produced by UNESCO and included in the «kit on intangible cultural heritage” presented during the training for trainers in La Havana, Cuba.
In Costa Rica detailed information will be given to the participants such as concepts, processes and tecnics to draw an inventory of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, according to the UNESCO Convention of 2003.
In Panama, the participants will familiarize with basic concepts on Intangible Cultural Heritage and with the required obligations of the 2003 Convention. The training will be about strengthening the participants' knowledge of application files for requests of international assistance as well as the files prepared for the Representative List of intangible cultural heritage , to the List of endangered intangible heritage and for the Registry of good practice .
