CAMPUS UNESCO « The values of sport » will take place on April 9th, 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00 at UNESCO Headquarter. 125 avenue de Suffren, 75007 Paris. Room II.

Sylvère-Henry Cissé, sportswriter, consultant and President of the think-tank “Sport et Démocratie”, will moderate the debate.

Speakers:

Charlotte Lembach, member of the French national fencing team, world champion in team sabre.

Alexandra de Navacelle de Coubertin, President of the family association Pierre de Coubertin, member of the Culture and Heritage Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)

Laurence Fischer, three-time world champion in Karate, engaged in the action Fight for Dignity, member of the think-tank Sport & Démocratie.

Phillip Müller-Wirth, Executive officer for sport within the Social and Human Sciences sector at UNESCO.

ABOUT CAMPUS UNESCO:
To put the expertise of UNESCO teams and partners at the service of the youth for a better understanding of major contemporary issues. It is an opportunity for young people to exchange ideas on various topics alongside experts of the issues at hand. The experts are from UNESCO and civil society. Since 2014, 72 CAMPUSES raised awareness to over 22,500 young people on major issues such as sports and citizenship, peace, sustainable development, human rights, girls’ education, genocides, freedom of expression, and cultural heritage.
