WORKSHOP UNIVERSCIENCE :
Workshop organized by UNIVERSCIENCE to raise awareness among young people about women of science exceptional contributions. The students will be able to attend the workshop before the beginning of the Campus and at the end.
Adriana Marais : Theoretical physicist, Head of Innovation at SAP Africa and International Rising Talent of the L'Oreal-Unesco for Women and Science Program in 2015. She is one of the 100 scientist selected for the Mars One project which goal is to establish human settlement on Mars.
Anais Orsi : Climatologist at the Laboratory for Climate and Environmental Sciences and International Rising Talent of the L'Oreal-Unesco for Women and Science Program in 2016.
Alex Da Silva : Within the UNESCO Division of Science - in the science policies and partnerships section, Alex Da Silva works as a consultant in the implementation and monitoring of projects in science cooperation and science education.
ABOUT CAMPUS UNESCO: To put the expertise of UNESCO teams and partners at the service of the youth for a better understanding of major contemporary issues. It is an opportunity for young people to exchange ideas on various topics alongside experts of the issues at hand. The experts are from UNESCO and civil society. Since 2014, 68 CAMPUSES raised awareness to over 22,000 young people on major issues such as sports and citizenship, peace, sustainable development, human rights, girls’ education, genocides, freedom of expression, and cultural heritage.
