Building capacity of community radio practitioners on income generation and entrepreneurship in Uganda
UNESCO will support capacity building of community radio practitioners on income generation and entrepreneurship in Kampala, Uganda. The training will attract participation of 16 community radio practitioners from 4 community radios namely; Radio APAC, Radio Nakaseke, Mama FM and Speak FM in Uganda.
The training aims at strengthening income generation capacity of the radio, which will in turn benefit its editorial and management work as well as its sustainability. It also seeks to enhance the ability of the community radios to generate and nurture diversified income sources for the radio through use of ICTs for fund-raising and commercial purposes.
This activity is organized under the ongoing UNESCO SIDA funded project themed “Empowering Local Radios with ICTs” currently being implemented in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
