UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa is supporting the Association for Media Women in South Sudan (AMWISS) to hold its Annual General Conference in Juba, South Sudan. This workshop will attract participation of AMWISS members to attend a one week event for the development and implementation of AMWISS long term strategic plan to further Gender and Women agenda in South Sudan. AMWISS will be looking at the available opportunities to work with various stakeholders, to grow and develop itself as an institution.
An action plan will be produced at the end of the meeting.

This workshop falls within UNESCO’s framework for freedom of expression: Global Action with special focus on the Arab Region.
