History is too important to leave it to historians only ... Writers, filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, etc., members of the International Coalition of Artists for the General History of Africa, will gather at La Colonie in Paris, on 31 October 2017. They will talk, starting from their work, about the great history and small stories of Africa, the ones that upset the prevailing ideas and stubborn stereotypes that continue to inhabit our imaginations on this continent. These meetings will also aim to open up spaces for dialogue and cross-fertilization between the humanities (history, philosophy, anthropology, etc.) and artistic practices (literature, cinema, music, visual arts, etc.) having as a common ground Global Africa.
