In the context of the 57th session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development, UNESCO's Management of Social Transformations (MOST) Programme will organize a side-event on "Accountability and social protection as a tool for the reduction of inequalities" on 14 February 2019.

The side-event will explore:

* the accountability dimension of social protection in designing and delivering social protection for all,
* the links between social protection and human rights in reducing inequalities, and
* the role of civil society in social protection accountability monitoring.
