2nd Republic of Korea-Republic of Uzbekistan Expert Meeting on ICT in education
The Ministry of Education, Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Education, Republic of Uzbekistan have made collective efforts to strengthen the educational cooperation between the two countries. It is however desired to further develop the cooperation between the two countries in the field of ICT in education, ranging from public education to higher education.
A successful and sustained collaborative partnership between Korea and Uzbekistan, in the area of promotion and support of ICT in education, allows the two countries to harness and utilize their collective expertise to help promote the effective use of ICTs in education. Especially, this fosters improved support for the delivery of quality learning and teaching, professional development of teachers, etc.
The co-organizer and partner for this event, KERIS, is a leading national institute in the area of ICT in education that is strengthening educational competitiveness in the 21stcentury. KERIS’s mission is to drive educational innovation using ICTs in education, not only in the Republic of Korea, but also worldwide.
The main objectives of this second expert meeting will to to:
- strengthen relations and collaboration between the two nations in the area of ICT in education;
- share knowledge and experience among experts of the two nations in order to develop ICT-based teacher training module guidelines
- support Competency-Based Teacher Training Reforms to Facilitate ICT-Pedagogy Integration.
