1st Extraordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Hydrological Programme

An Extraordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Council (IGC) of the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) will be held on 28 November 2019 from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in Room X (Fontenoy Building).
The revised Statutes of the IGC of IHP, scheduled to be adopted at the 40th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, require the election of IHP Bureau members immediately after the election of the Council Members by the General Conference. Therefore, the Extraordinary Session of the IHP Council will elect the new IHP Bureau on 28 November 2019.

In addition to the election of the Bureau Members, the session will set the dates of the 24th session of the IHP Intergovernmental Council, consider re-establishing the working group tasked to update the Internal Rules of Procedure and adjusting the timetable of the preparation of the ninth phase of IHP (IHP-IX, 2022-2029).
