The UNESCO Office in San José, in collaboration with the Cultural Center of Spain in Costa Rica, will hold a series of discussions-consultations in San José (Costa Rica) with the objective of initiating a process of reflection on the condition of women artists, including women belonging to minorities such as indigenous women, afrodescendant or with disabilities. In this first discussion, the issue of human, economic, social and author rights will be addressed.
The objective of the project is to provide a platform for the exchange of information, best practices and lessons learned in the field of cultural and creative entrepreneurship. The strategy will consist of fostering dynamic communication between cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations in the cultural sector and civil society in Costa Rica. This project is carried out in synergy with the production of UNESCO's four-year report on the Recommendation on the Status of the Artist adopted in 1980, for which Member States are requested to send voluntary information.

It is a series of 3 talks in which the Ministry of Culture and Youth, NGOs and women artists participate.
