Building peace in the minds of men and women

Learning on/with the Open Web Conference

This event will address ways to develop critical Media and Information Literacies in a digital world, namely through participation and engagement with the so-called Open Web. For instance, creating a web domain – through some open source web publishing applications or simply using plain HTML – is a quintessential example of the Open Web. However, many other tools and platforms can be described as instances of the Open Web (e.g. Wikipedia).

The event is aimed at anyone interested in teaching-learning practices that involve using the Open Web, whether already doing it or simply wishing to do so. In particular, it will be relevant to Teachers, Academics, Learning Technologists, Academic Developers and Instructional Designers.

Attendance is free (no fee) but registration is required (limited places).
