Key objectives of the measure:

Design a solution of special social security coverage for artists within the framework of the countries legislation, which responds to the particular characteristics of artists, and defines a coverage regime in accordance with the context, causes and consequences of cultural work.

With the support of the UNESCO-Aschberg Program, an analysis was carried out on the current situation of social security coverage for workers in the sector. With this input the Table was formed with the participation of: Ministry of Culture and Youth, Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.

Results expected through the implementation of the measure:

Have a special social insurance coverage regime within the framework of existing legislation that addresses the specific challenges of cultural workers.
