Six projects have been recommended for IFCD funding

The results of the selection process for submitted project proposals, in the framework of the 7th Call for the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD), have been published and can now be consulted here.
The IFCD Panel of Experts has recommended to the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions the following six project proposals:
- Cartography and capacity building the cultural industries in Bogotá, submitted by the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá – CCB (Colombia)
- Promoting start-ups in cultural and creative industries in Palestine, submitted by the Leaders Organization (Palestine)
- Regional capacity building workshops for artists, cultural promoters and local administrators on the implementation of local cultural policies, submitted by the Regional Institute for Higher Education and Research in Cultural Development/ IRES-RDEC (Togo)
- Engage disadvantage communities in Namibia in the international music market, submitted by the Museums Association of Namibia (Namibia)
- Encourage the use of cinema as a means of expression among youth with a view to developing a film industry, submitted by T-movie (Madagascar)
- Voices of ASU: Emerging cultural expressions of the young people of Asunción, submitted by the Directorate-General of Culture and Tourism - Municipality of Asunción (Paraguay)

The final decision on the selected projects will be made during the Tenth Ordinary Session of the Intergovernmental Committee, taking place from 12 to 15 December 2016 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
