In January 2021, the Northern Territories department of Australia launched the Arts and Culture COVID-19 recovery program to support individual artists and art workers, especially in the digital environment. The program offers grants up to AUD 10 000 (USD 7 755) for eligible applicants, which can be used for:

  • The development and creation of digital programming that showcases artists from the Northern territory and/or increases audience reach and engagement;
  • Innovative use of technology, online platforms or live streaming to develop and showcase new work, increase audience reach and engagement, and/or develop online communities;
  • Digital skills development including digital production.
