
Mr Nanyemba Katamba is a qualified Social Worker and founding member of HOTA (Home of the Arts), a non-profit organization which was established in December 2017 in Rundu, Namibia. HOTA is an incubation and acceleration hub for Namibian creatives which goal is to promote artistic and cultural innovation in the creative industry through a “learn, create, market” philosophy. Mr Katamba is also the owner of Werah hub space, a platform where visual and performing artists can display their talent through exhibitions and live performances. He has more than 15 years of experience working with vulnerable populations through local and international NGOs. His entire career life has been with CSOs which has enabled him to develop a good understanding and appreciation of the CSO sector in Namibia. He is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Party at Project Hope until September 2020. Previous assignments include his work as a Consultant National Coordinator for Life Line/Child Line between 2016 to 2017, Program lead at U.S Peace Corps, and a technical advisor at IntraHealth International. In addition, he is a self-published author and currently serves as the board chairperson for the Namibia Arts Association (NAA).
