Mr Baby Doeseb is a musician, composer, author and researcher in the music industry. He started his musical career at the age of eight by learning to play the trumpet. In 1974, he joined as lead guitarist the oldest active band in Namibia, The Ugly Creatures, which was founded in 1971. In 2010, he co-founded the Stolen Moments: Namibian Music History Untold research project of which he is the Director and whose findings have been exhibited in Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. For the preservation and protection of the Namibian music history, he founded the Namibia Audio Visual Archives (NAVA) together with Baeldo Publishing PTY, a publishing company for music, film and books. Mr Doeseb is a retired sound-engineer and is currently working on his soon to be published book on Namibian music history and his first documentary film on the musicians from the Windhoek Old Location.
