Dr Dümcke is a cultural economist and works as a project developer and arts consultant with 20 years of experience. She is the founder of Culture Concepts, an independent institute based in Berlin, providing research and consultancy services for clients in both the cultural and the development sector. Dr. Dümcke has extensive experience in formulation and evaluation of cultural policy and cultural programme strategies in countries and regions in transition. Her thematic specialization focuses particularly on cultural planning, cultural industries, cultural tourism, as well as on the museum, theatre and festival market. Since 1995, she has worked in the international arena on behalf of the Council of Europe, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Pro Helvetia and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) . She has significant work experience in Germany, Switzerland, Eastern European Countries, Central Asia and South Africa.
