The BIAAF - Bilbao International Art & Fashion Platform – inaugurated on 10 October the seventh edition of its international fashion design competition, which will last until 16 December 2019. The event aims at discovering promising fashion talents between 18 and 35 years old from all around the world, by identifying innovative ways to bridge fashion and design.
Bilbao, a UNESCO Creative City of Design in Spain, is home to BIAAF, a leader platform for emerging international fashion talents. In partnership with some 700 international schools, its biennial contest has reached over 6,000 designers in 90 countries. BIAAF is part of the United Nations SDGs support and development platform.
The 2018 edition of Bilbao International Art & Fashion Biennale highlights the work of 31 designers from 13 countries
On 17 June, Bilbao successfully concluded the 2018 edition of its International Art & Fashion (BIAAF), one of the most important international fashion and design contests in Europe. It has today become an international reference for emerging design and has hosted for its 2018 edition more than 1,600 participants coming from 90 different countries for showcasing their creations.
Since 1 October 2017 to 15 December, Bilbao, a UNESCO Creative City of Design, organizes a Call for Applications to young designers around the world, launched within the framework of its International Art and Fashion (BIAAF) platform. The International Art and Fashion (BIAAF) is a non-profit platform created by professionals belonging to very different areas, and dedicated to the discovery and launch of young promising fashion designers from all over the world.
