Ulyanovsk announces the two winners of its International Literary Residency Programme
Ulyanovsk, UNESCO Creative City of Literature, launched its 2020 Call for Applications for the second International Literary Residency Programme open to writers and artists from the UNESCO Creative Cities of Literature. The programme aims to create inter-city exchanges and promote culture-oriented development policies that support creativity and innovation, in line with the 2030 Agenda.
The project supports the diversity of cultural expressions, fosters contemporary urban narratives and provides a space for cultural expression with new and evolving technologies.
Mr. James Womack, poet, translator, teacher and publisher from Manchester (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and Mr. Mark Wingrave, artist and translator from Melbourne (Australia) have been selected to participate in this year’s Literary Residency Programme.
The city of Ulyanovsk will welcome them in September 2020 and during Spring 2021 respectively.
