Design City in Geelong: building an innovation ecosystem

Design City in Geelong: building an innovation ecosystem

When:
Wed, 03/18/2020 to Thu, 03/19/2020

Design City, a highlight event as part of Geelong Design Week of March 2020, brings together business leaders, government bodies, research and educational institutions to explore the role of design and creativity in driving innovation.

Hosted by Deakin University, DesignMind and the City of Greater Geelong, the event will promote the exchange of good practices, insights, tools and techniques for sustainable development by integrating and interconnecting different actors such as private and public sectors, as well as local government and the education sector, into an innovation ecosystem.

Participants will be inspired by some of the world’s renewed design thinkers and engage in highly interactive debates on the creation of new partnerships and chains across social, cultural, political and economic resources to foster sustainable innovation and international cooperation.

The city of Geelong invites the UNESCO Creative Cities to join Design City and exchange their experiences!
