Born on 18 September 1955 in Mexico City, Mexico.
Education: Degree in political sciences from Harvard University (Boston, USA) and from Colegio de México (Mexico).
Professional Experience: Diplomat since 1989; Ambassador to Indonesia and Timor-Leste since 2015 to date; Ambassador to Israel (2007-2015) ; and
Ambassador to the Czech Republic (2001-2007). Minister in charge of political affairs and relations with Congress in the Embassy of Mexico to the USA (1993-1998); and Counselor in charge of political affairs in the Mexican Mission to the United Nations (1989-1993).
