On Friday 24 April, the World Forum in The Hague will be bustling and bursting with energy! On this day we will host the first ever World Press Freedom PRESStival, a festival dedicated to the future of free and independent journalism worldwide. PRESStival is the closing event of the World Press Freedom Conference and is intended for everyone interested in media and press.

For one day the entire World Forum in The Hague will be transformed into PRESStival, an international celebration of press freedom, with room for 700-1,500 people. Admission is free for registered participants with a badge for the World Press Freedom Conference 2020. Drinks and snacks are included. PRESStival starts at 10:00 and ends at 16:00. Don’t miss this unique event and register now for the WPFC 2020!


The programme will be announced mid-March, but you can expect a vibrant festival with renowned speakers and a variety of interesting presentations, panels and workshops! Admission to all sessions is free, but keep in mind that places are limited.

PRESStival will feature films, talk shows, presentations and performances by emerging and established talents. You will be able to hear inspiring stories directly from journalists about their work.

You can attend workshops and hands-on training sessions to get tips & tricks that can boost your journalism skills and professional career.
