The UNESCO Ha Noi office is also contributing to “Dance for the kindness” event, which aims to empower people around the globe to begin making change by committing to take on an act of kindness, and to unite people of all ages, backgrounds, and races under the banner of kindness. The UNESCO Ha Noi office will organize this event on 25th Nov 2018, at Hoan Kiem Lake with participation of around 8,000-10,000 people.
UNESCO San Jose Office
The UNESCO office in San Jose, in collaboration with the Spanish Cultural Center in Costa Rica, will hold an exhibition called "What Were You Wearing?" whose main objective is to promote awareness of sexual violence and combat guilt among victims, thus breaking the false myth that a sexual assault can be prevented by changing the way we dress.
This exhibition will be reproduced in Costa Rica with the intention of reflecting on it here, where reports of sexual crimes increased 74% in 13 years.
The exhibition, which opens on 15 October, will be on display until 26 November, in the framework of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The exhibition will be accompanied by a social network campaign with the hashtag #quellevabaspuesto (What were you wearing?).
