Blockchain: practices and perspectives

Virgile is a civic tech entrepreneur, co-founder of Democracy Earth. He represents the foundation in Europe, where he helps the foundation realize its mission to use blockchain technologies to implement liquid democracy and explore new forms of governance. Graduated from Sciences Po Paris and HEC Montréal, Virgile is a frequent public speaker on blockchain, civictech and open source governance. He is also a co-founder of Code for France, a collective that organises hackathons to build open source software for open government, completing seven hackathons featuring more than 400 participants coding 30 projects. His main project is Open Source Politics (OSP), a startup based in Paris that implements Decidim, an open source framework for citizen participation, to help public institutions enhance their participatory processes.
