Imam Saif bin Sultan for General Education
Imam Saif bin Sultan School for General Education (grade 11-12) has got its name in memory of one of the Omani leaders who ruled Oman from 1692 to 1711 AD. It was the first public school in Ibri state, founded in 1970. Building and location of the school were changed twice in 1983, then in 2001. It joined UNESCO ASPnet on 2011-2012 school year on second semester.
The school contains 337 students and 38 teachers. It gained many awards in different fields at govornorate and country level such as keeping cleanness and health in the school environment competition. It got one of the three advanced positions around 6 times. The last time was in 2011- 2012. It also got the first award on educational region teams in 2008 - 2009. The main goal of the school is to achieve the comprehensive quality of educational outputs mentally, intellectually and technically. It also aims to bring students that are interactive with their present society, believing in their values and loyal to their country. There are many activities done by students in our school in many fields such as heritage and tourism, volunteer work, school broadcast, literature arts and journalism group.
