Activity / event planned:

The Unesco department of Serres, Greece in co-operation with the Central Public Library of Serres celebrate “World Teachers’ Day 2014”, “World Science Day” and “World Philosophy Day” with a series of events that will take place twice a week during October, November and December. The title of the project is “Aristotle's Route”, because apart from being one of the greatest Philosophers of all times, Aristotle was also a great teacher and at the same time a scientist of all fields.

In the Library will be hosted schoolchildren of Serres. The series of events will include: - Audiovisual Presentations - Topic-related activities and games - Creative activities - Development of the project in the classroom - Online presentation of the students’ projects

We hope to give the students the opportunity to learn and appreciate the significance of teachers’ role in society and to understand the usefulness of philosophy in everyday life and its contribution to the solution of contemporary environmental problems.

The project continues in 2015 to celebrate the Year of Light, the Wetlands Day (February), Biodiversity and the road to COP21 in Paris.
