From and to the airport:
Taxis, buses and the railway service provide a regular link from the Geneva International Airport (Cointrin) with the Cornavin Station (main station) in downtown Geneva. It takes 6 minutes from/to Geneva city centre by train (every 12 minutes at rush hours). The following urban buses stop every 8-15 minutes at rush hours at the airport (bus stops at the Check-in level, in front of or beside the train station): 5, 10, 23, 57, Y. From Gare Cornavin, hotels can be accessed via a range of public transport options including bus, trams and taxis.
Transport tickets can be purchased at the ticket machines next to the tram / bus stops and can also be bought at the Geneva Transport Office. Many hotels provide a “Geneva Transport Card”, which enables their guests to travel on all modes of public transportation for free for the duration of their stay.
Maps of and timetables for the Geneva bus / tram network are available on the TPG (Geneva Public Transport) website.
