Objectives and Mission: 

As an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world.

General description: 

Exchange programmes of study groups for junior managers. Subsidies for professors of higher education. The Youth Exchange programme sponsors 8000 international youth exchanges in year. The initiative "Blindness avoidable", takes as a starting point to the program "Vision 2020" of WHO: preventive and curative care of blindness, training of medical staff and development of services for the blind men. Rotary Award for peace (100 000$. 2001: Dr. Pramod Karan Sethi, inventor of prostheses, Jaïpur, India). Programme "PolioPlus" for the eradication of polio (1985-2005): 438 million dollars to vaccinate two billion children in 122 countries. The International H2O Collaboration between Rotary International/Rotary Foundation and the United Nations Agency for International Development (USAID) will implement long-term, sustainable, water, sanitation and hygiene projects in the developing world. Rotary Foundation Competition on "Promotion of professional ethics" (in 2006 and 2007 ( 29 May 2007), held at UNESCO HQ, Paris, France.
