Organizes: [European Solar Schools Forum (SSF)]; Summer Academies for Architecture; conferences; seminars. Initiates world-wide projects and educational programmes to implement renewable energy; supports exchange of information between members and interested persons. Programmes include: Solar Food Processing and Conservation (Solar-Food); Promoting Renewable Energy in Africa (PREA); Powerado; Solar Cities; Utility Initiative for Africa. Set up Australian New Zealand Solar Energy Society, now Australian Solar Energy Society (AuSES).
