International Organization Of Folk Art

Objectives and Mission: 

To further folk art, customs and culture around the world through the organization of festivals and other cultural events, thereby contributing to international understanding and world peace.

General description: 

Organizes: conferences; working meetings; scientific symposia; international events such as lectures, exhibitions and tours. Organizes and promotes international exchanges between folk art groups and ensembles worldwide. Schedules and supports international folklore festivals, with emphasis on dancing, folk music, folk songs and folk art. Produces scientific publications and publications on experience of practical work in the field.
