Objectives and Mission: 

Bring together associations of teachers of French and individuals responsible for teaching French throughout the world; facilitate exchange of their experience and research in order to further the teaching both of French and of French-speaking culture; encourage and facilitate other forms of exchange, in particular discussion among different categories of French teachers.

General description: 

Encourages the creation of associations of teachers of French where none exists; organizes and supports international congresses, meetings, colloquia, study tours and seminars; annual study days at Sèvres (France). Instrumental in setting up: Fonds mondial pour l'enseignement du français (FMEF)
